Story's one many of ya have heard;

the Tortoise and the Hare. As ya remember the story's bout, who's faster & how they settled

their argument with a race. The hare shot ahead & was runnin for some time. Once he was far ahead of the tortoise, he sat down to rest a bit before continuing the race but fell fast asleep. The tortoise, slow but consistent kept plodding along, soon passed him & crossed the finish line. The hare woke up to realize he'd lost. Hearing that story we've been told that slow & steady wins the race. I feel that the real lessons not about the tortoise at all, it's about the hare. See the hare made a huge mistake, believin in its ability but not actually proving it. In life, ya may have talents that everyone agrees on. But success isn't just having talents; it's about using em.

Ponder this:

Talent is cheaper than table salt. What separates the talented individual from the successful one is a lot of hard work. Talent without hard work is nothing. Talent is God given; be humble. Fame is man given; be thankful. Conceit is self given; be careful.

Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.

Proverbs 16:18

Haughtiness goes before destruction; humility precedes honor.

Proverbs 18:12

Do you see a man who is wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him.

Proverbs 26:12

So; which are you? The tortoise pluggin along thinkin yer winning. Or the hare, have talents, can win, but don't use em?
